In the Beginning of November, The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is to scrutinize the Draft Tax Code
Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made this statement in the interview to Rada television channel. "In the beginning of November, The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is to scrutinize the draft Tax Code and pass a respective resolution," he declared.
He informed about the ongoing work over the draft, to which more than 2000 amendments were introduced last week. V.Lytvyn believes that it signals of a ‘political´, rather than ‘pragmatic-economic´ approach towards its scrutiny, i.e. of the intention to block the progress.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine called on the parties ‘to improve the Tax Code, not block its adoption." V.Lytvyn emphasized that the draft had a great many positive aspects: "These aspects should be enhanced, while the controversial issues should be compromised on." "The governmental needs and the public demands should be balanced, a respective resolution being passed," he summed up.
